Ms. Anastasia Frontzou studied Psychology for 5 years at the American College of Greece (Deree College) where she received her degree in 1998 (BA, Psychology) with a degree in clinical and counseling psychology.

During her studies, she won a scholarship and became an assistant professor in the Biology – Anatomy laboratories for 2 years.

She has attended a Postgraduate Program entitled “Examination of Psycho-Mental Functions using a Computer” (Scientific Society for Health Education BIOAGOGI, 1998-1999).

She has been trained in the Psycho-pedagogical use of the “Athena Diagnosis Test for Learning Disabilities” (EKPA Certificate of Adequacy, 2003-2004).

In 2012 she successfully completed a Postgraduate Program on “Adolescent Health – Psychology and Behavior of Adolescents” (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens EKPA – MEY) with a grade of 97.7% Excellent.

In December 2016, she successfully completed the Postgraduate Program of the Medical School of the University of Athens on “Anxiety Disorders in Children and Adolescents” with a grade of 9.4 Excellent.

Since 2002 (19 years) she has been active privately in the city of Lamia as a Relationship, Child and Family Counselor and Mental Health Counselor.

From 2003 and for 4 years, she was an external scientific collaborator of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic “Mother”, where she undertook the counseling of women preparing to give birth and new mothers.

In 2007 she started her collaboration with the Holy Diocese of Fthiotida as a scientific collaborator of the Marriage and Family Center and the School of Parents.

In 2008 she started her collaboration with STAR Central Greece TV (production, editing, presentation of the show “Communication” – interviews in shows and news bulletins).

Collaborates with kindergartens and schools of Primary and Secondary Education, and with parents ‘and guardians’ associations and has organized many events – speeches on “Internet Dangers”, prevention and dealing of “Intra-School Violence”, dealing with “Exam Anxiety”, but also, for many other issues concerning children, adolescents and their families.

At the same time, she has organized talks focusing on the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders in adults, thus contributing to the improvement of their mental health.

She writes articles in the print and electronic press and edits scientifically articles in magazines addressed to parents, while her interviews have been hosted on television, radio and on the internet.

She has attended several conferences and workshops (4th and 5th World Congress of Dyslexia, Panhellenic Pediatric Conferences, Psychotherapy Conferences, Adolescent Medicine Conferences), while she has participated in several of them (speaker, chair).

In 2016, Ms. Frontzou signed a project contract, as a Scientific Associate, with the Adolescent Health Unit (AHU), 2nd Department of Pediatrics of the Children’s Hospital “P. & Α. Kyriakou”, University of Athens.

Since 2016, she is also, a Scientific Associate of OPAP, participating in the OPAP Sports Academies program, promoting mental health to children, parents and coaches.

Since 2017, she is a member of the Hellenic Society of Adolescent Medicine.
